Seed of the Forest
Seed of the Forest is a family enterprise based in Leicester, UK. We are currently offering workshops and courses using design processes drawn from Permaculture and Sarah Spencer’s Think like a Tree™ Natural Principles Guide to Life. We aim to create welcoming and nurturing spaces for you to explore design principles relating to land management and food growing, ethical livelihoods, health and wellbeing, and effective and compassionate communication. We use interactive and informal approaches to exploring each element of our course content, facilitating learning rather than teaching a rigid syllabus. We will use both indoor and outdoor settings, learning directly from natural settings wherever possible.
As part of our commitment to the Permaculture ethic ‘fair shares’, our courses are priced on a not-for-profit basis. This means that our team receives payment for their time and we pay for venues and general running costs. We aim to ensure that cost is not a barrier to participating in our courses, so we offer concession places (based on trust). Any surplus income is reinvested in our training and development or used to provide concession places on future courses or donated to local groups working for a fairer and ecologically harmonious world.
We invite those who are able to pay full price and there is a pay-it-forward option if you would like to help us to provide additional affordable places.
At Seed of the Forest, we are committed to our own learning and development.
We welcome feedback and the opportunity to better understand ourselves and others. Please feel free to reach out to us via our contact form, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or message us via Facebook and Instagram.
