New Courses: Think like a Tree
Updated: Oct 7
Finally, we are able to run a face-to-face Think Like a Tree course!
This is planned for 15th-17th October at Whistlewood Common and will be run by Sam and course founder, Sarah Spencer.
We ran two online Introductory workshops to explain the process for newcomers; a free online workshop on October 6th, exclusively for 18-25 year-olds and an open workshop on 30th September (£12/£7 concession/free for 18-25s).
Up to six free bursary places will also be available for the full Think like a Tree course for 18-25 year-olds who live, work or study in the National Forest area. Both the free workshop and full course bursary places are funded by The National Forest. The full cost price for 3 days, including training materials and lunch, is £180. Organisations or those on higher salaries are welcome to add a Pay it Forward amount of their choosing, which helps us to offer lower price places to make sure that our courses are as inclusive as possible.
The next online Think Like a Tree course - facilitated by Sam, Sarah and Milly Carmichael - will be on Sunday mornings from 24th October 2021 to 28th November. The price for this is £150, with two places available for £60. If you qualify for an 18-25s bursary place but are unable to attend the in-person course, we may be able to offer you a free place on the online course instead.
Following the success of our Think Like a Forest workshop, we are now planning to develop a full Think like a Forest course for groups and organisations who want to use the Think Like a Tree design process and natural principles. This will be delivered in Spring 2022 and will include new material relating to group working and communication skills.
